At some undefinable point in the past I probably brushed a little close to a Genie and ended up with some wishes. I do go to a lot of Tiki bars, so however implausible; let's not rule it out. The Faroe Islands are one of the most magical places you can ever visit. It’s truly like stepping foot into another universe, filled with unparalleled beauty and sights that you just couldn’t imagine. Usually, when traveling, you can relate places to others. When I see the Rockies, they remind me in some ways of the Alps. When I see a beach in Hawaii, it tends to have similar characteristics to a beach I’ve seen in Indonesia. But when I see the Faroe Islands, I truly can’t think of any comparable place.I’ve been to these tiny islands once before, about two winters ago. When the opportunity arose to go back during the summer months, my boyfriend and I just couldn’t believe it. We had made friends with the locals, and were excited to see these friends of ours again. As well as explore new places that we didn’t have time to see the first time around. What inspired this shoot and where did it take place?This shoot came about after doing some location scouting for a different shoot around SLC. I moved to Salt Lake from LA a little less than a year ago, but hadn’t spent much time exploring the urban aspect of the new city. After finding such cool pockets of light, I realized I had found enough new backgrounds for a dance shoot.
